Mary Kozanian

Mary joined the Marathon team in 2018 after spending four years managing her family’s small business in Glendale. An avid proponent of volunteer work, she has worked on campaigns for Los Angeles City Council member Paul Krekorian, as well as conducting community outreach for other elected officials in the Glendale and Burbank areas. During her time volunteering, Mary built strong relations within the community and garnered a better understanding of what drives community members to be passionate about their neighborhood.

Previously, Mary spent four years in the marketing and advertising industry focused on the grassroots approach in educating consumers about new products and conducting analysis to help understand consumer habits. She was responsible for planning and coordinating events in conjunction with nonprofit and private sector clients such as The Revlon EIF Run/Walk for Women, The Golden Globe Awards, and The Kroger Co.

Mary enjoys spending her time involved in local theatre programs and volunteers for the organization Reading to Kids to help inspire underserved children in the Los Angeles area with a love of reading. She is a graduate of California State University, Los Angeles with a B.A. in communications and public relations.
